Shame is met with a scramble to save face and forgotten forgiveness.

  1. Sorry is meant with corrective action, I reckon, and yes shame is met with that scramble. But what’s wrong with sorry? I think it’s good to show you’re sorry.

    1. It’s wrong if sorry is repeated over and over without any corrective. It’s reflective of the apologizing party, demonstrating that they only care to save face and that, in the long run, they’re not that sorry.

      Actions back up words. Not the other way around.
