Watching some friends go through chat roulette.

And we realized that it has a lot of potential to be something of a StumbleUpon (via Kirk).

Imagine this: Chat Roulette opens up registrations, free of course. Users become members and now they can start surfing, but with the website matching people much like a dating website. It could also adhere to preferences, or go a Facebook/Pandora route with a “liking” system (I guess everything is likeable anymore).

How horrifying is that? You’re literally surfing through a channel of people that you’ve announced are the kinds of people you like. And you can skip right past them, next them; no obligations, no social karma, no strings attached.

It could happen.
It would be our downfall.
